The lavender variety 'Avice Hill' is a lavandula angustifolia.
Lavandula angustifolia (otherwise known as English Lavender) is the lavender essential oil favoured by aromatherapists and herbalists as it is the most therapeutic lavender essential oil.
Avice Hill is also suitable in culinary applications.
L. angustifolia variety 'Avice Hill' is rare and more expensive than the 'Grosso' essential oil as the plant is smaller and therefore does not give such a high yield.
The oil has notes of musk, honey, pepper, and wood. These are one of the three Angustifolia varieties we planted specifically because they are well known for their therapeutic properties.
