Welcome Lavender C Face Cream. This is the newest product in our quality Facial Skin Care Line and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Because of its remarkable benefits I have decided to add Vitamin C.
We received very positive feedback not only about the results but also how silky it feels on your skin. Unlike our Renew Face Cream which is designed for aging skin our new addition is formulated for all skin types. No worries we will still have your beloved Renew Face Cream. It's sticking around and not going away.
The two face creams do share some of the same ingredients, such as highly effective Botanical Extracts, botanically derived polypeptides, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid derived from bio fermentation, and amino acids fermented from plant based sources, a naturally derived preservative system that is on the Whole Foods Acceptable Premium Preservative List and approved for use as an ingredient in ECOCert Certified Organic products (that’s a big deal), and some of the best oils in the world known to produce exceptional results in skin care. They both also share Lavender of course, because I truly believe in it, and will simply not do without. Our adored Renew Face Cream has a fruit acid complex which has shown to promote smoother younger looking skin. I formulated Renew Face Cream with aging in mind as I was about to turn 50 and felt my skin craving something new.
Lavender C Face Cream has 3 different forms of Vitamin C. The first of these Power house Vitamin C ingredients is Orange Stem Cells which are added to help reduce skin discoloration, dark spots and blemishes. It also helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles leaving your skin feeling silky smooth giving it a more youthful appearance.
Second on board is Lemon Peel Bio-ferment which brightens up skin, helps to minimize the appearance of dark spots and improves luminosity. Made from whole macerated lemon fruit incubating it with the same bacteria that is used to produce foods like cheese and sour cream. The third form of Vitamin C is Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate or MAP for short which is a durative of Vitamin C that is considered both light and oxygen stable. MAP is considered a better choice for people with sensitive skin plus has powerful antioxidant qualities.
Who doesn’t wish for more luminous skin? If you do you should try one or both of our decadent creams today.
Our goal is always to create the best products using finest ingredients to help your skin feel healthy, nourished and looking its absolute best!

Here we are, May 17 th and Spring is flying by! I really love this time of year; the whole property is filled with an abundance of color. Almost all my roses are in full bloom! The lavender is ahead of schedule as well and seems to be ready for summer! The Thumbelina Leigh and Buena Vista are particularly ready, as they are about to bloom. It won’t be much longer until the Royal, Purple, Royal Velvet and the other English varieties join them, creating a profusion of vibrant purple.
We are busy little bees around here, preparing for the upcoming Lavender Harvest Days. There are some new and exciting things happening around the farm. I’ll share more on that later; it’s a work in progress. Truly never a dull moment!
I hope you will join us to celebrate this beautiful plant and all it has to offer! The dates for our Lavender Harvest Days will be July 8 th -10 th , 10AM-3PM each day. If you are an artist or a crafter interested in becoming a vendor please email me @ selahlavender@gmail and I will send you an application. All items must be quality handmade or vintage.
See you then!
I think the Gertrude Jekyll roses are my favorites. Beautiful color and the fragrance is exceptional.
This is part of the Front field which is primarily Grosso, with Hidcote Giant and Super. It will bloom after the English varieties.

After next week we will be in full swing around here. Replanting, formulating new products (my mind is always thinking of new things to make), getting ready for our first Yakima Farmers Market on Mothers Day.
Then our Lavender Harvest Days is July 8-10th. I have some wonderful artisans lined up so I am excited! I love creative people.
Thanks for being patient.
]]>We have mixed feelings about our training to coming to an end. Without this race I am certain I would not have gone out in the 20 degree weather and run in snow, wind and freezing rain. But now I can say I am glad I did. It wasn't all bad weather, we had some pretty descent days too. Especially last Saturday it was 60 degrees!
Last year I ended up with a heel injury so I completely stopped after our race was over. I look forward to a short break of schedule and then choosing another organized run to be in and train for.
So, shop away and use the code Shamrock15 to receive your 15% discount. (Online Only)
Wish us Luck!
]]>We have been having such great weather lately. The snow is almost completely gone. I can actually see the lavender plants! It really feels like spring and that is making me very happy. I know there is still lots of time for winter weather but for now I am soaking up some sunshine.

Ken and I are going to run in The Shamrock Run in Portland OR again this year. Last year I definitely “caught the race Bug”. So many of my family participated and the overall energy was amazing. I absolutely loved hearing all the Celtic musicians playing their beautiful music on the sidewalks as I was running past. It really helped to keep you going. This was my first ever race and it sure was an exciting one. They also give you a Widmer Beer and some really great Smoked Salmon Chowder from Stranfords as a reward for finishing. I think there were over 35,000 people entered. The race proceeds benefit The Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
Last year we ran the 8k which was about 5 miles. This year we are training for the 15k which is a little over 9 miles. The training has been a bit more taxing out of the gate. For one reason there is 6-8 inches of snow on the ground. Definitely not complaining we needed the snow here. We live off of a pretty windy road with not much shoulder to speak of. So, snow or ice means No Way for me. Thankfully I have a treadmill for when it’s really bad out and we also have a wonderful pathway called The Yakima Greenway nearby. Last Saturday 6 miles was on the training schedule, I couldn’t bear to do that on the treadmill so to the Greenway we went. It was completely cleared of any snow or ice. They do a really fantastic job maintaining the path. Thank you!
The other reason the training has started off more difficult is I started training right after the holidays… Enough said and moving on.
Last year I realized pretty quickly that running comes with a lot of little owies here and there. I thought I would be prepared this time though. So, besides my foam roller, our relaxing and soothing Lavender Bath Salts, my homemade ice pack and (made with 1 part rubbing alcohol and 3 parts water.) I decided to make an Arnica and Lavender Lotion. Well, I was very pleased with how it turned out. I have yet to find any other Arnica lotion made quite like I do this one. My little secret formula I believe makes it much more effective. Two bottles of this batch are already spoken for, one I sent to my Aunt Adele. The other bottle is for me. The last couple batches I only got small bottles for my self. This time I had to be more selfish. Each time I have made this lotion all the bottles sold and it never made it to the website. I am going to make the Arnica Lotion available on the web page first this time.
I am not sure if I will ever be interested in doing a marathon or not but if I do I know I’ll start training much earlier and probably not be quite so indulgent over the holidays.
If you are training for any events coming up or maybe you have you made a goal to be more healthy and active in 2016 I wish you Good Luck!

I noticed that one common topic of conversation during our visits was dreaded winter dry skin. So I came home tired but full of inspiration. The first thing I made was our Lavender Body Butter Cream. It is so luxurious, it feels like therapy as soon as you rub it into your skin. The great thing is it doesn't make your skin feel greasy. It absorbs right in and gets to work. Next, I moved onto Lavender Lotion Bars. Now these really combat specific dry areas. These bars are rich with Shea Butter They have no water in them at all so they are very effective for elbows, feet and any other super dry area.
I have more products to make today. It's starting to snow a bit so it will be a perfect day to turn on
some music and get to work.Christmas music sounds good since I am preparing for an event this Saturday. This is the only event we do during the holidays. We chose this event because it has a very different feel. There are some pretty amazing artisans there. I love the atmosphere. Please come check it out. Just follow your nose you'll find me.

We will be taking some time off. A little Rest and Relaxation after a long, hot lavender season. All orders placed will not be filled until after November 12th. Then we will be all set for a great Holiday season! You can then stock up on our ultra, effective products for Christmas! And don't forget Mighty Tieton is December 5th!
]]>This is when I kinda go into panic mode. Deadline for soap making is coming up. Soap has to cure so I really have to plan ahead. I'll be making a lot of soap this week and next..
Lavender Buds Soap today. I think a few more batches too. Lavender Rosemary & Mint, then Lavender Lemongrass and Lavender Oakmoss & Sandalwood. Yum!
There is still lots to do around the farm. I wish there 2 of me. But no worries. It all comes together in the end and everybody has a great time.
Our Royal Velvet is starting to open up. Maybe a little early. I'll be cutting some bouquets Friday morning for a wedding.
Oh yeah, I better get on that soap making.
